MAY 11, 2020:
We have exciting news -- Governor Abbott has given us the green light to re-open beginning Monday, May 18 and we plan to do just that!
We know so many of you have eagerly awaited the time when you could get back to the studio and we are equally as excited to see you! Reach out to your trainer to get your sessions setup for next week!
For those of you who are ready to start or get back to a workout program but are afraid of exposing yourself to the potential spread of Coronavirus by being around large groups - now is the perfect time to ditch the crowds at big box gyms or group classes and experience the AFS difference with our appointment-only based personal trainer to client atmosphere!
As responsible leaders in our community, we’re committed to providing a safe place for our clients to stay strong and healthy and the following additional steps are being taken to be extra vigilant in protecting you, your families and our team.
· Social Distancing: Our trainers will be implementing appropriate spacing during sessions, which isn’t hard to do in our studio. One of the benefits with our private trainer to client environment is that we never have more than 10 people in our studio at one time, thus limiting potential exposure.
· Cleaning & Disinfecting: Our team has always exercised the utmost diligence when it comes to studio cleanliness and we will continue to utilize disinfectants and ensure surfaces and equipment are being cleaned between each and every use. Clients are more than welcome to bring their own towels and props to use if you feel inclined. We are also happy to accommodate any extra measures requested.
· Protection Amenities Provided: In abundance of caution, clients will find the following throughout the studio for your use - touchless hand sanitizer dispensers, disinfectant wipes, gloves and facial masks. Make sure to wash your hands prior to and after each session.
· Limiting Hand-to-Hand Contact: We will be eliminating the following high-touch amenities until further notice - showers and steam rooms (per Governor Abbott’s orders), water fountains - instead please bring your own water bottle or use our complimentary bottled water found at the front desk, no need for clients to check-in using the iPad station during each visit.
· We ask that if clients or anyone their household are feeling sick, please stay home.
If you or someone you know is ready to get started with personal training at Abundio’s Fit Society, please let us know and we will be happy to setup a complimentary assessment.
We look forward to sweating with you soon!
Abundio and Team AFS
APRIL 30, 2020:
Governor Abbott has issued through his executive order that gyms shall remain closed until at least May 18th. We will continue offering virtual personal training during this time.
APRIL 3, 2020:
We hope you and your families are doing well, staying healthy, and not going too stir crazy! Unfortunately, we must remain closed as the Stay at Home Disaster Declaration order issued by the City of Fort Worth has now extended until April 30th.
We highly encourage you to connect with an AFS trainer (if not already) by engaging in virtual sweat sessions. It’s essential to stay active now more than ever for your mental and physical health during this stressful time.
Unfortunately, this temporary closure will absolutely impact the health of AFS as a small business and your trainer personally. Many of you have asked what the best way is to support us through this period. We ask that if you are not financially impacted by this crisis, that you continue to support small businesses like ours in Fort Worth so that we are all able to survive these uncharted waters and come back stronger than ever once it is over.
Here are a few ways you can help:
• Keep Your Monthly Studio Fees Active: As you know, we paused your monthly studio fee autopays on 3/23. If you would like to reactivate your autopay or pre-pay for a few months in advance, please let us know.
• Purchase Private Sessions in Advance: Reach out to your AFS trainer (or start training with one virtually!) to see if you can pre-pay for private sessions to use now or in the future.
• Purchase e-Gift Cards: Consider purchasing e-gift cards for friends and family found here on our website that can be emailed to you or the receiver.
• Spread your love for AFS: Share how much you love us by submitting a review online, sharing about us on your social media page, and talking about us during your virtual chats with friends and family, so that when all of this is over, they’ll know who to come sweat with!
As a small business trying to survive the most unprecedented of circumstances, we sincerely appreciate any support at this time. Similarly, if there is any way we can help you or your small business, please let us know. We exist today because of YOU, our amazing clients, and we are so grateful for such an encouraging and family-driven community. We cannot wait to get back to the studio with you all soon and will keep you updated as we know more about re-opening.
With gratitude,
Abundio and Team AFS
MARCH 23, 2020:
We are saddened to inform you that in accordance with the City of Fort Worth’s amended Disaster Declaration for Covid-19, we must shut our doors until further notice. In the meantime, if you would like workout plans to do at home, please reach out to us and one of our AFS Trainers would be happy to provide this for you.
We’ll keep you updated as we find out more information and hope to re-open soon. We hope that you and your families stay healthy and enjoy this time together. If you are a potential new client and would like to be informed of when we re-open, please submit your info here.
In good health,
Team AFS
MARCH 16, 2020:
The health and safety of our clients, team and their families are always our top priority. Amid the growing concerns around Covid-19 Coronavirus, we wanted to update you on the additional steps we are taking to be extra vigilant while we continue to serve our community. This is an evolving situation and we are monitoring it closely to ensure all proper precautions are being taken so everyone feels safe coming to the studio.
Our team has always exercised the utmost diligence when it comes to studio cleanliness — as you can tell from your prior visits, it’s always a top priority for us. We continue to utilize disinfectants and have increased the frequency in which all surfaces are being cleaned and disinfected; in between each and every piece of equipment used.
Your AFS Trainer will be making informed decisions to implement appropriate social distancing during sessions. Per Mayor Betsy Price’s Fort Worth guidelines, studio capacity is allowed at 50%. One of the benefits of not offering an open gym model and facilitating a private trainer to client environment, is that you never have to worry about overwhelming crowds (there are never more than 10 people in our space at any given time), thus limiting your potential exposure to germs. We’d also like to reiterate for those inquiring about using our facility while your big box gym is closed, we apologize but we do not offer open gym memberships; we are however still accepting new personal training clients.
Out of an abundance of caution, the check-in experience has been adjusted for the next two weeks. An AFS Trainer will be checking clients in, which removes the need to sign in on the iPad station at the front desk.
We ask that if you or anyone in your household are feeling sick, please stay home. If you are training at the studio, please wash your hands prior to and after your session, and avoid touching your face. You will find hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to double down on cleaning if you feel inclined to take matters into your own hands.
We’ll continue to keep you informed of all updates and precautions we’re taking as a team. In the meantime, we’re committed to providing a safe place for our community to stay strong and healthy. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Take good care,
Team AFS
